A class designed especially for those worried about their bone health, balance, posture, or strength.

Why combine bones, breath, and balance?

All aspects of our bodies affect each other. When there is a weakness in one place, we change the way we move ( e.g limp) and other parts compensate by working harder.

The exercises in the class specific to bone strength originate from Bones for Life®.
In each class we cover at least one Bones for life process. I choose which one depending on how it supports the balance and breathing exercises.

Tools for moving from the inside out

  • Weights and bands are provided to build strength and resistance.
  • Yoga poses and other balance exercises will be used to challenge stability in both stillness and movement.
  • Breathing: this may be the most important aspect, the key to mindfully moving in any activity. We will use breathing techniques from yoga and The Feldenkrais Method®
