Bones Breath and balance because “ There is no pill for Posture” Ruthy Alon
Why combine bones, breath, and balance?
All aspects of our bodies affect each other. When there is a weakness in one place, we change the way we move ( e.g limp) and other parts compensate by working harder.
The exercises in the class specific to bone strength originate from Bones for Life®.
In each class we cover at least one Bones for life process. I choose which one depending on how it supports the balance and breathing exercises.
Tools for moving from the inside out
- Weights and bands are provided to build strength and resistance.
- Yoga poses and other balance exercises will be used to challenge stability in both stillness and movement.
- Breathing: this may be the most important aspect, the key to mindfully moving in any activity. We will use breathing techniques from yoga and The Feldenkrais Method®
